Discover the attractions of Kołobrzeg

Kołobrzeg is the largest and – many people claim – also the most scenic health resort on the Polish Baltic Sea. In addition to beaches and beautiful sea, Kołobrzeg also boasts a well-developed tourist infrastructure with diverse attractions and entertainment options. Kołobrzeg is a perfect holiday destination both for those who enjoy sunbathing on the beach and those preferring a more active leisure lifestyle. Within the city's limits, there are three designated sea bathing and swimming areas with wide sandy beaches. In addition, Kołobrzeg is full of parks and green spaces, and offers visitors plenty of charming cycling and hiking trails. The city is officially recognised as a health resort, and is renowned for its mineral waters and mud baths. The most popular attractions are located within a short distance of the PORTO apartment.

Kołobrzeg Lighthouse

Built in 1770, it is located at the entrance to the Kołobrzeg port. near the estuary of the Parsęta River into the Baltic Sea The lighthouse is 26 metres tall, and it is open to tourists. It is without doubt one of the most beautiful vantage points at the Polish seaside, offering panoramic views of the city, the port, seemingly endless waters of the Baltic Sea, and a lovely beach.

Kołobrzeg Pier

One of the favourite tourist attractions among holidaymakers visiting Kołobrzeg. The structure is over 220 metres long and 9 metres wide. The current pier is built of reinforced concrete and was officially put into use in the 1970s. At the end of the pier, there is a café where you can have a cup of delicious coffee. The Pier is well worth a visit both during the day and at night, when it sparkles with illuminations.

Amber Museum in Kołobrzeg

An incredible place where you may explore the secrets of amber which is sometimes dubbed "the gold of the North". In addition to amber specimens of various shapes and sizes, the display features a lynx paw print in amber, or insects including ants, flies, and spiders that were trapped in the gold of the Baltic Sea. One of the most interesting exhibits is the largest lump of amber in the museum's collection, weighing as much as 2.2 kg. Another highlight is the grinding workshop, where visitors are able to see first-hand how amber is processed, and learn where and how to look for amber on the beaches of the Baltic coast.

Baltic cruises in Kołobrzeg

Local Baltic Sea boat cruises in Kołobrzeg are organised all year round. Boats set out from the Passenger Terminal, where the lighthouse is located. Visitors to Kołobrzeg are free to choose from an array of available options including tourist cruise ships called "Pirate", "Viking", "Monika III" and "Santa Maria", which catch the eye with their unique style and climate. Torpedo boat cruises are particularly popular with children. Cruises to Bornholm combined with sightseeing and exploring the island are another recommended option.
